Sr Financial Planning Analyst

Job Summary This key senior, finance position performs a broad role in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, and significant financial reporting across the EDT platform.  The primary functions of this position include all cost accounting functions at the Coachella, CA facility which includes process standardization and improvement utilizing lean principles and the EOS (Esterline Operating System) as well as knowledge of both current SOX controls and disclosure statements to the U.S. Government.  Additionally, some cost accounting supportmay be required at other business units across the platform.  This role will also be a key player in supporting DCAA/DCMA rate/bid audits and the annual submittal of government cost claims.  This position will also be heavily involved in various aspects of financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting which will demand a team approach and work ethic to accomplish assigned duties successfully.  The role will be expected to cross train with and perform the duties of the Financial Reporting Manager, and others in order to address critical skill gaps within the department, in a backup role. Primary Responsibilities   Ensures all elements of job cost accounting are accurate and in accordance with GAAP through engagement with production, materials, contracts, and finance personnel.  Proactively, and without specific direction, identify and address gaps/deficiencies in processes through the use of GEMBA walks and the utilization of the EOS (Esterline Operating System).   Leadership of and participation in Kaizen events is mandatory. Perform all financial planning and analysis tasks as assigned which includes quarterly/SBS/budgetfinancial forecasts and various business unit, platform, and corporate reporting within strict and demanding timelines/deadlines Successfully demonstrate superior team work skills to include collaboration with colleagues to arrive at solutions without management involvement.  Utilization of lean principles and the EOS are required. Proactively address department critical skills gaps through team collaboration and cross training.  Perform backup roles in support of the Financial Reporting Manager. Become intimately familiar with the data behind the forecasts to support financial analysis as well as defend company positions in internal and external audits including DCAA/DCMA rate/bid audits.  Become the POC for the Coachella, CA business unit on all rate/bid audits and contractual/bid support issues. Education & Professional Work Experience Requirements   Requires a BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting Expert level proficiency with Excel to work with and develop complex spreadsheets Strong Word and Power Point presentation skills are required Strong working knowledge of ERP systems is required and necessary.  Previous experience with Oracle is a plus. Minimum of 7-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment.  Defense industry experience and familiarity with DCAA rates and disclosure statements is a significant plus Strong working knowledge of GAAP.  Ability to applyGAAP principles and identify areas of concern Previous experience with SOX controls and working with both external and internal auditors required Familiarity and experience in the application of lean principles in both the manufacturing and administrative environment are a strong plus Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills are necessary and required U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Alien Status required 13280BR_EN

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
